Gol Gol was proclaimed a township in 1866; village allotments began to be occupied in the late 1870s. Located on the Murray River near Mildura, it was historically an important coach stop for communication, transport and the Royal Mail in the Wentworth Shire. Today it is one of the fastest developing towns in the region with a close-knit community based on light industry. Visit the redeveloped James King Park and enjoy the serenity of the river.
