1. About the Service

Goblin Social is a community-owned local directory platform operating across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific. It allows residents, community groups, and businesses to list, discover, and promote local events, services, and businesses.

By using Goblin Social you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. User Conduct

Our etiquette is simple: do the right thing. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or defamatory listings
• Post content that is offensive, discriminatory, or harmful
• Use the platform to spam, scam, or defraud other users
• Attempt to manipulate community voting or rankings
• Reproduce or scrape platform content without permission

3. Listing Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of any listing you submit. Goblin Social moderates listings but cannot guarantee the accuracy of all content. Listings may be edited or removed at our discretion if they are found to be inaccurate, inappropriate, or outdated.

4. Paid Services

Paid placements (Location Banners, Goblin Gold upgrades) are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically and may be cancelled at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial months. Goblin Social reserves the right to remove paid placements that violate these terms without refund.

Paid promotion has no effect on community rankings. A listing's position in community search results is determined solely by verified community votes and relevance scoring. No payment of any kind can influence, boost, or alter a listing's community rank.

5. Intellectual Property

Content you submit remains yours. By submitting it you grant Goblin Social a non-exclusive licence to display, index, and distribute it on the platform. The Goblin Social name, logo, and platform design are our property and may not be used without written permission.

6. Privacy

We collect only the information needed to operate the platform. Contact details submitted with listings are stored encrypted and are never sold to third parties. By submitting contact information you consent to its storage and use for platform communications.

7. Limitation of Liability

Goblin Social is provided as-is. We make no warranties regarding uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, Goblin Social will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The effective date above will be updated accordingly.
