Treasures and Textures – Kids holiday workshop Ages 5-8

📍 SECCA, Zingel Pl, Bega NSW 2550

Treasures and Textures: Beaded and woven decorations Inspired by the imaginative materials and storytelling found throughout SECCA’s current exhibitions, Recovery Mission and The Story So Far , young artists will create their own decorative wall hanging or wearable adornment using beads, found objects and simple weaving techniques. Participants will explore texture, pattern and colour while transforming everyday materials into something special. This hands-on upcycling workshop encourages creativity, experimentation and personal expression as children design a unique piece to take home. Participants are welcome to bring small treasures from home, such as broken toys, buttons, beads, ribbons, fabric scraps or natural materials, to incorporate into their creation. – Wednesday 7 October Ages 5 to 8, 10am to 12pm – Workshops will be tailored to participants' age group. $30 + booking fee.
